Dog Obedience Training

All dogs should be trained in general obedience throughout their lives. Not only does it teach them manners, but by setting clear boundaries helps with the dog’s maturity and self-confidence. Well trained dogs are usually the happiest and most relaxed, as you provide them with security, comfort, shelter and health care in return for obedience. A personalised training approach with VICDOG prevents both dog and handler from becoming confused and intimidated, a common result from group classes.

Training packages are designed specifically for your needs. We can teach you how to train your dog in as little as 10-15 minutes a day. With VICDOG’s guidance, we will design a training program for you to follow, enabling you to advance your dog to your required level of obedience. You will learn the tools of the trade which will allow you to better understand your dog and give you the confidence to progress your dogs training. Once you possess these skills, you can teach your dog just about anything.

If you lead a busy life and don’t quite have as much time to train your dog, then VICDOG can still help. Our instructors are happy to train your dog while you are at work or otherwise occupied. We can pop in three or four times a week, and take your dog for a training session down the park. Once Fido has reached your desired level of obedience, we then conduct a handover session to ensure that you possess the skills to maintain this obedience level in VICDOG’s absence.

Below is a general overview of what levels of training we work towards achieving. You can mix and match depending on what you specifically want to achieve out of the training.
